Afrobeats sensation Rema (Divine Ikubor) made a generous donation of N105 million to a Christ Embassy Church in Benin, Edo State, during a Sunday service. In a viral video, Rema expressed his gratitude to the church for its unwavering support and guidance.

Rema shared a personal testimony, revealing how the church supported his family during a difficult time after his father’s passing when he was just eight years old. He recalled how the church’s pastors, Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, opened a shop for his mother, providing for their needs during a time of great loss.

Rema’s donation was allocated as follows: N40 million to the church’s infrastructure, N20 million to Rhapsody of Realities, N25 million to the teens’ church infrastructure, and N20 million to support widows in the church community.

The donation came ahead of Rema’s highly anticipated homecoming concert in Benin, where he was welcomed by the Oba of Benin and presented with a royal plaque. Music producer Don Jazzy and the Mavin crew also showed their support for Rema’s concert.

Rema’s heartfelt testimony and generous donation have inspired many, showcasing his commitment to giving back to his community and honoring the church that has played a significant role in his life.
