A major road accident occurred at around 6:00 pm yesterday before the Nyanya Bridge in Abuja after a trailer reportedly lost control and crushed several vehicles.

Many cars were badly damaged in the incident, causing serious traffic congestion and bringing movement in the area to a near standstill for hours. Commuters were left stranded as vehicles piled up along the road, with several cars severely smashed from the impact.

This location is known for frequent road accidents, as similar incidents have occurred there on several occasions in the past. Road users have often raised concerns about the safety of the area, especially during peak hours when traffic volume is high and heavy-duty vehicles ply the route.

As of the time of filing this report, there is no confirmed information on whether any lives were lost in the crash. Emergency responders and security officials were present at the scene, working to manage the situation, control traffic, and clear damaged vehicles from the road.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the cause of the accident. Further updates are expected as more details emerge.
