NerdzFactory’s TechBridge Program, launched in collaboration with the World Bank, the Federal Ministry of Education, and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), focuses on equipping young Nigerians with essential digital and workplace skills in areas like graphic and product design, digital marketing, product management, and front-end web development.
Additionally, the World Bank has approved a $60 million allocation for the Nigerian Youth Employment Through Skills Acquisition Fund (NYESAF), targeting the training of 75,000 Nigerian youths. This funding is part of the broader IDEAS project, which is valued at approximately $130 million and aims to enhance the capacity of Nigeria’s skills development system to provide training for both the formal and informal sectors .
These initiatives reflect a concerted effort by the EU and the World Bank to collaborate with Nigeria in building a robust framework for skill acquisition, focusing on industry relevance, job creation, and private sector participation.
