The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and the Nigeria Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) have committed to enhancing the economic and diplomatic partnership between Nigeria and Turkey.
This decision was reached during the inauguration of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association of Nigeria (MUSIAD Nigeria), which took place at the Turkish Embassy in Abuja. Attendees at the event underscored the importance of increasing investments in both nations’ security and economic sectors.
In a statement released from Port Harcourt on Saturday, Dr. Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, Chief Executive Officer of TMT Travels and Tours Limited, shared that NACCIMA and NTBC have prioritized economic investment strategies centered on agriculture, security, tourism, and education as pivotal to fostering growth and stability in both countries.
Dr. Onukwubiri explained, “The establishment of MUSIAD Nigeria, launched at the Turkish Embassy in Abuja, was attended by the NACCIMA National President and NTBC Chairman, Dele Kelvin Oye, Esq., who was joined by NTBC members, including myself and Mr. Buchi Francis Eche, Managing Director of Dreamland Global Synergy Limited.
The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Hidayat Bayraktar, was also present alongside representatives from the Turkish and Nigerian business communities, emphasizing a unified commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.”
He added, “NACCIMA and NTBC have pledged to bolster our partnership through a focus on security, agriculture, tourism, and education. We acknowledge the crucial roles these sectors play in advancing international trade and investment, and we remain dedicated to realizing this vision.”
