2027: Akwa Ibom SSG Predicts Massive Uyo Support for Tinubu, Eno

The Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, has expressed confidence that residents of Uyo will vote massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno in the 2027 general elections.

Uwah said the expected support would be based on what he described as the development initiatives and policies being implemented by both the Federal Government and the Akwa Ibom State Government.

The SSG made the remarks while speaking on the political situation in the state and the growing support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the people of Uyo have witnessed developments in different sectors and would consider the performance of the administrations when deciding who to support at the polls.

He also highlighted the relationship between the state government and the Federal Government, saying the partnership had created opportunities for the implementation of projects and programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents.

Uwah maintained that the political realignment in Akwa Ibom would strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 elections. He expressed optimism that the party would consolidate its growing presence across the state and secure strong support from voters.

The SSG further urged residents to continue supporting government initiatives, stressing that sustained cooperation between the state and Federal Government would help attract more development to Akwa Ibom.

He said the political support being projected for Tinubu and Eno was not only about party affiliation but also about recognising what he described as the impact of their respective administrations.

The prediction comes as political parties and aspirants intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with politicians increasingly focusing on grassroots mobilisation and voter support.

Akwa Ibom is expected to remain an important political battleground as parties seek to consolidate their structures and influence across the state’s senatorial districts and local government areas.

Uwah’s comments also come amid the ongoing political realignments in the state, particularly following Governor Eno’s movement to the APC and his alignment with the Tinubu administration.

As the 2027 elections draw closer, the level of support for Tinubu and Eno in Uyo and other parts of Akwa Ibom will remain a key issue in the state’s emerging political contest.

The SSG’s remarks therefore signal the confidence of the APC leadership in the state that its growing political structure can translate into electoral gains when Nigerians head to the polls in 2027.
