The Nigerian Air Force has released the list of applicants shortlisted for the 2025 General Aptitude Test in its 2025 recruitment exercise for trades and non-trades men and women under the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 46/2025).
According to the announcement, the aptitude test is scheduled to hold on 13 December 2025, beginning at 7:00 am, across 15 designated centres nationwide. Shortlisted candidates have been instructed to report to their assigned test centres on time.
To check if they have been shortlisted, candidates are directed to the NAF recruitment portal. The official list of eligible applicants is available through the portal, where candidates can download a PDF and confirm their status and the location of their test centre.
NAF has also issued clear instructions regarding what shortlisted candidates must bring to the test centre: they are required to come with their NAF Application Acknowledgment Card, writing materials (such as pencil and eraser), and two passport photographs signed by the applicant.
Importantly, NAF reiterated that the enlistment process remains free — no fees should be paid at any stage, and the organisation does not involve agents or third parties in recruitment.
The release of the shortlist marks a significant milestone in the 2025 recruitment drive, coming after a period during which the Air Force had cautioned the public against fake online adverts claiming early recruitment — a warning issued as recently as July 2025.
For many applicants, the 13 December aptitude test represents an important opportunity. Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated via the general aptitude test; successful candidates may proceed to further selection phases, which could include medical screening and other evaluations, depending on the role for which they applied. While NAF has not yet released those subsequent steps publicly, the announcement underscores its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
As the test date approaches, NAF has urged all shortlisted candidates to verify their details, prepare the required documents and materials, and show up early at their respective centres. Given the volume of applications and the nationwide scope of the exercise, timely arrival and compliance with instructions will be critical.
