Afrobeats artist Black Fab is broadening his musical range with his latest single, I LIKE AM, a house-influenced record built for relaxed hangouts, open-air rooftops, and the lively after-dark scene in Lagos. The track flows with a calm yet infectious rhythm, pairing smooth melodies with club-friendly energy that invites movement.

The song is inspired by the singer’s off-stage moments—time spent listening to house music playlists and experiencing the pulse of Lagos nightlife. These influences shape a sound that is both soothing and vibrant, positioning the record for appeal beyond traditional Afrobeats audiences.

In recent times, Black Fab has stayed committed to showcasing his Igala heritage, blending native expressions with contemporary Afrobeats. A record like Ukpokpu, along with other releases in the same spirit, underscores his focus on cultural expression. His 2025 project, Big Masquerade, also strengthened this creative path, drawing attention through several standout songs and collaborations.

Born into the bustling environments of Lagos and Abuja, Black Fab was raised amid diverse musical influences that helped define his artistic direction. He attended Awodiora Olodo Apapa and later GSS Karu in Abuja, nurturing his interest in music alongside his studies. His early work at Goshen Studio in Abuja, followed by collaborations with established acts during his Political Science studies at Kogi State University, laid the groundwork for his growing presence in Afrobeats.
