The Nigeria Police Force’s Complaint Response Unit (CRU) on Saturday marked its 10th anniversary with a public awareness parade that kicked off at the Police Headquarters in Area 11, Abuja.
Officers dressed in CRU-branded caps, white T-shirts, and camouflage trousers gathered at the headquarters before commencing a coordinated march aimed at sensitising residents on how to report complaints against police personnel. Carrying a bold anniversary banner, the team moved through major routes, distributing flyers and encouraging citizens to speak up whenever they encounter misconduct from any police officer.

The awareness march extended into the high-security diplomatic zone, with stops at key locations including the Federal Secretariat, the American Embassy, and the Libyan Embassy, among other missions situated within the area.
According to the CRU, the outreach is part of ongoing efforts to deepen accountability, improve police–citizen relations, and ensure that every Nigerian knows where and how to report grievances.
The 10th anniversary activities highlight a decade-long journey of reforms within the CRU, which has become a central platform for addressing complaints and enhancing transparency within the Nigeria Police Force.
