Nigerian music star Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has opened up about how his fiancée, Janet Atom, has positively influenced his life especially financially.
In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, the “Who’s Your Guy”singer credited Janet for helping him make smarter financial decisions since they got together. According to Spyro, she consistently encourages him to think long-term and avoid wasteful spending.
He shared an example of when he considered buying a Tesla Cybertruck, but Janet advised him to invest in real estate instead. “I was all set to buy a Cybertruck, talking about the color and where to park it. Then she said, ‘Do we really need a Cybertruck? Have you thought about the maintenance costs? Why not invest that money in real estate?’ I smiled and realized I had found the right one,” Spyro wrote.
The singer also revealed that Janet often rejects luxury, even during travel. Despite his willingness to buy her business class tickets, she insists on flying economy and asks him to give her the money to invest in her business. “So I always end up switching seats with whoever sits beside her in economy. That’s truly wife material,” he added humorously.
This revelation comes just days after Spyro announced his engagement to Janet, sharing romantic proposal photos and narrating how their love story began.
At 35, the singer says he’s ready to settle down, and from all indications, he believes he’s found a partner who adds real value to his life emotionally and financially.
