The Oakleaf Fitness Fiesta is set to light up Abuja for the very first time on Saturday, October 4. The wellness event, which has been steadily growing in popularity, will take place at Monoliza Amusement Park, Dikko Road, with activities kicking off at 8:00 a.m.
This year’s edition aims to bring together 400 to 500 people ranging from fitness lovers and medical professionals to families and everyday residents looking to embrace healthier habits.
According to Oakleaf Pharma’s Managing Director, Dipo Adetuyi, Abuja provides the perfect backdrop for the gathering.
“Abuja was a natural choice because it is the nation’s capital and a very vibrant city with a young, dynamic, and active population. It also has a strong culture of sports and fitness, so taking the Fiesta to Abuja was a no-brainer.
“We want people to understand that working out and living healthy can be fun, exciting, and sustainable. Fitness doesn’t have to be boring or monotonous. Through this, we hope participants will be inspired to continue incorporating exercise, healthy eating, and overall wellness into their daily routines.”
The fiesta is expected to feature a wide range of activities, from high-energy workout sessions and dance fitness classes to educational talks on nutrition and preventive healthcare. Organisers also hinted at fun challenges and games designed to encourage participation from both seasoned fitness enthusiasts and newcomers just starting their wellness journey. Families, in particular, are encouraged to attend, with activities tailored for children to make healthy living a collective experience.
The initiative reflects Oakleaf Pharma’s broader mission to promote a culture of wellness in Nigeria. Beyond its work in pharmaceuticals, the company has consistently supported health-centered campaigns, and the Fitness Fiesta has become one of its flagship projects, serving as a rallying point for community engagement and positive lifestyle change.
Looking ahead, Adetuyi disclosed that Oakleaf is preparing to extend the fiesta beyond Abuja, with Ibadan and Port Harcourt already lined up as future hosts in 2026. This expansion, he said, is part of a long-term vision to reach more cities across the country and build a national movement around fitness and wellness.
