President Bola Tinubu has extended birthday greetings to Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, who turns 61 on September 2, praising his leadership and contributions to the development of the state.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Lawal as a “Renaissance governor” whose administration has introduced significant changes across Zamfara.
The President highlighted the governor’s focus on road construction, urban renewal and industrial development, noting that his administration had also invested heavily in education and healthcare.
According to the statement, Lawal’s government has renovated more than 800 schools, employed over 2,000 teachers, improved healthcare facilities and distributed medical equipment and supplies across the state.
“The President celebrates Dr Lawal on this occasion, describing him as a Renaissance governor who has brought positive change to Zamfara.
“President Tinubu particularly acknowledges Governor Lawal’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his industrialisation effort in the state.
“The President commends the governor for going beyond infrastructure provision to rehabilitate over 800 schools, recruit over 2000 teachers, upgrade hospitals, and provide medical supplies across Zamfara,” the statement read.
Tinubu also praised Lawal’s broad approach to governance, saying that addressing different sectors simultaneously would support balanced growth and strengthen human capital development.
“President Tinubu, a strong proponent of well-rounded development, says Governor Lawal’s multi-sectoral approach to governance is the right step toward holistic development, especially in human capital development.
“As the governor celebrates this occasion, the President joins family, friends, and the good people of Zamfara to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the nation.”
