Traffic Worsens at Building Material Nasarawa Due to Bad Road

There is serious traffic every day at the Building Material area in Nasarawa State, located before Nyanya if you are coming from Maraba. The main problem is the bad road, which is full of potholes and has become worse since the rainy season started.

When it rains, the traffic becomes even worse. Cars and buses can be stuck there for 2 to 4 hours because the potholes are deep and wide. Drivers have to slow down a lot or struggle to pass through, which causes a long queue of vehicles.

A commercial driver said, “Once it rains, just prepare your mind. You can be on that road for hours. The road is very bad.”

The Building Material road is a major route for many people coming from Maraba and other parts of Nasarawa into Abuja. Because of the bad road, there is no smooth movement, and many people are late to work, school, or appointments.

Residents and road users are now begging the government to fix the road quickly. They say the traffic is too much, and it is affecting everyone badly. Some fear that accidents might happen, especially at night when drivers can’t see the potholes clearly.

People are calling on the Nasarawa State Government and other relevant authorities to take urgent action and repair the road. Fixing it will reduce traffic and make life easier for thousands of road users.
