A former Governor of Oyo State and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, addressed former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande, on Tuesday concerning the assassination of Chief Bola Ige, the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, asserting, “Chief Akande lied about me.”

He made this statement during an interview with journalists at his residence on Ondo Street in Ibadan, the state capital.

According to The PUNCH, Chief Akande recently expressed new worries regarding the unresolved murder of Chief Ige, implying that Ladoja might possess vital information related to the case.

Ladoja clarified, “Chief Bola Ige was killed on December 23, 2001, which was 18 months before I took office. I became governor on May 29, 2003, and Chief Ige was murdered on December 23, 2001, 18 months prior to the start of my tenure.

“I did not withdraw the case. My administration did not withdraw any cases. The case was even taken to the Supreme Court. Chief Akande lied about me, and he is elderly. This isn’t the first time; people say he is known for lying. Even Baba Adebanjo mentioned in his book that he lied.

“We are all profoundly affected by Ige’s death. We all care about his murder; I was very close to Chief Bola Ige during his lifetime.”

    Nolvadex Tamoxifen

    Nolvadex (Tamoxifen)

Nolvadex, also known as Tamoxifen, is a medication commonly used
in oncology, particularly in the treatment of
breast cancer. It belongs to a class of drugs called aromatase
inhibitors, which work by inhibiting the enzyme aromatase.
This enzyme is responsible for converting androgens into estrogens,
which can play a role in the growth and progression of certain types of
    breast tumors.

Tamoxifen has been widely used since the 1970s
and is considered a cornerstone treatment for metastatic breast cancer.
It is particularly effective in women whose tumors are estrogen-receptor-positive (ER+), as it helps
to block the action of estrogen on these cells, thereby slowing
    tumor growth.

    ### Mechanism of Action

Tamoxifen works by inhibiting the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgens into estrogens.
By reducing estrogen levels in the body, Tamoxifen can help to prevent the stimulation of
breast cancer cell growth. This mechanism not only affects breast tissue but also has some anti-androgenic effects, which may contribute to its therapeutic
benefits in both breast and prostate cancer.

    ### Clinical Applications

Tamoxifen is primarily used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer, where it can improve survival rates and quality of life for patients.

It is also used in the adjuvant setting, following surgery for early-stage breast
cancer, to reduce the risk of recurrence. Additionally, Tamoxifen has been shown to have some benefit in the treatment of prostate cancer due to its anti-androgenic properties.

    ### Side Effects

Like many medications, Tamoxifen is not without side effects.
Common side effects include nausea, fatigue, hot flashes, and bone pain or osteoporosis.
In rare cases, it can lead to serious liver problems or
an increased risk of blood clots, which necessitates careful monitoring.

    ### Dosing

The typical dosage for Tamoxifen is 20-40 mg per day, often taken once daily with food to enhance absorption. The exact dosage and frequency may
vary depending on the patient’s condition and response
to treatment. It’s important to follow the prescribed regimen and report any unusual symptoms or side effects to the healthcare provider.
