General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, has declared 2025 a pivotal year in Nigeria’s fight against insecurity.
Acknowledging the military’s progress in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity, General Musa urged personnel to intensify efforts this year, aiming to eradicate banditry, terrorism, and other forms of insecurity.
General Christopher Musa visited troops of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State’s Mangu Local Council Area on Saturday.
He commended their security efforts, urging them not to relent, as more is expected to completely eradicate insurgency.
General Christopher Musa praised the troops’ conduct, emphasizing the need to eliminate all forms of insecurity. His visit aimed to boost morale and reassure the troops that the Nigerian government and military are closely watching their progress.
During his visit,he inspected recovered arms and ammunition and was honored with a guard of honor ceremony.
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) joined forces with Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army in Jos and Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), along with the troops, to demonstrate their combat readiness through a push-up exercise. This showcase of strength and preparedness was a repeat of a similar exercise previously held in Plateau, which the CDS attended after departing from Kaduna State.
