A 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody in Belen City, New Mexico, for allegedly killing his father, mother and two brothers. The Valencia County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the teenager himself, reporting the quadruple murder.
According to authorities, deputies arrived at the residence to find Leonardo Leyva, 42, Adriana Bencomo, 35, Adrian Leyva, 16, and Alexander Leyva, 14, dead from suspected gunshot wounds. A handgun was discovered on the kitchen table.
The teenager, whose name has not been released, was extremely intoxicated when deputies arrived. He has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder.
This shocking incident has left the community in silence, with many questions still unanswered and the investigation is still ongoing.
