Bishop T.D. Jakes, founder of The Potter’s House Church in Dallas, experienced a health emergency during a Sunday sermon, sparking widespread concern.
The incident which occurred on Sunday, November 24,2024 , close to the conclusion of his hour long message, with Jakes visibly shuddering before being assisted on stage by attendants.
According to a statement released by the church via Facebook , Jakes received immediate medical attention and is currently stable and recovering.
The statement read,“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message.
“Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals. The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers.”
Sarah Jakes Roberts, Bishop T.D.Jakes Daughter also provided an update, expressing gratitude for prayers and support.
A medical expert has suggested that the incident might indicate a stroke, emphasizing the importance of immediate medical attention. The exact cause of the incident is yet to be confirmed by The Potter’s House, but prayers continue to flood in for Bishop Jakes’ speedy recovery.
