Prince Harry, the founder of the Invictus Games, has arrived in Nigeria for a three-day private visit to interact with wounded soldiers and their families. The visit, which begins today and ends on May 13, aims to boost the morale of soldiers recovering from injuries and disabilities.

According to Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, Director of Sports at the Defence Headquarters, the visit is expected to have a positive impact on the soldiers’ recovery efforts. Marquis noted that 80% of soldiers have benefited from the recovery program, which has improved their self-esteem, mental health, and emotional intelligence.

The program has also helped soldiers’ families, who have seen their loved ones regain their confidence and become capable of living independently again. Prince Harry’s visit is seen as a significant boost to the soldiers’ morale and a testament to the importance of supporting wounded veterans.

During his visit, Prince Harry is expected to engage with the soldiers and their families, sharing his own experiences and offering encouragement and support. The visit is a significant gesture of solidarity and support for Nigeria’s wounded soldiers and their families.
