Construction work on the twin flyover project in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, is progressing steadily as efforts continue to address the persistent traffic congestion along the busy Abuja-Keffi corridor.

The N39 billion project, which was flagged off by Governor Abdullahi Sule, involves the construction of two flyovers spanning about 2.6 kilometres with roundabouts at key intersections, including Abacha Road and the Technology Village junction. The project is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and reduce travel time for commuters plying the route.

Recent updates indicate that work is actively ongoing at the construction site, with heavy equipment and workers engaged in different phases of the project. Authorities have expressed confidence that the contractor, Triacta Nigeria Limited, will deliver the project within the stipulated timeframe.

The flyover project forms part of the Nasarawa State Government’s efforts to provide a lasting solution to the traffic gridlock that has affected residents and motorists in Mararaba and neighbouring communities for several years.

Residents and commuters have continued to monitor the progress of the project with high expectations, hoping that its completion will bring relief to thousands of people who use the route daily.

The twin flyovers are considered one of the largest infrastructure projects currently being undertaken by the Nasarawa State Government and are expected to boost economic activities in the area upon completion.
