The commander of Hezbollah’s coastal sector has been killed in an Israeli strike, the IDP reported. The report captured that its aircraft “struck and eliminated” Ismail Yusaf Baz in the AIN Ebel area of Lebanon.
The slain commander had served, according to Sky News, as senior official in several positions in Hezbollah’smilitary wing. Also. He had planned rocket and anti-tank missile launches towards Israel from Lebanon’s coastal area, the IDP confirmed.
A little before the strike, Hezbollah said it attacked Israel’s Iron Dome air defence units in the area of Beit Hillel, claiming they scored direct hits and had killed or wounded their crew members.
Recall that Iran, in a ‘retaliatory’ attack, had fired drones and missiles into Israel on Sunday night, signaling what may look like a new phase of the Israel-Hamas war. More than 300 projectiles- including around 170 drones and over 120 ballistic missiles- were aimed at Israel in the immense aerial attack Sunday night, CNN gathered.
Approximately 350 rockets were fired from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, according to Israel Defense Forces (IDF), though “99%” of the projectiles were intercepted by Israel’s aerial defence systems and its allies, leaving only a small number reaching Israeli territory.
