The presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, have met with the party’s national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, amid the leadership crisis rocking the OK Movement.
The OK Movement, a coalition of the Kwankwassiyya and Obidient movements, has recently been embroiled in a leadership dispute that has resulted in the emergence of rival factions, raising concerns among supporters as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
Senator Dickson disclosed the meeting in a post on his official Facebook page, stating that he hosted Obi and Kwankwaso at his Abuja residence.
According to him, the discussions centred on the current state of the party and preparations for the forthcoming election campaigns, which are expected to begin later this month.
He also urged members, supporters and stakeholders of the NDC to remain united, steadfast and committed to working together to secure victory for all the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections.
