Fayose Blasts Tinubu’s UK Supporters

Isaac Fayose, the younger sibling of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has questioned Nigerians residing in the United Kingdom who continue to express support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Fayose raised the issue in a video posted on his verified Facebook account on Wednesday, where he challenged Nigerians abroad to return home if they genuinely believe that the Tinubu government is delivering good governance.

He argued that those praising the administration from outside the country should consider relocating back to Nigeria with their families instead of enjoying the perceived benefits of living abroad while defending the government.

Fayose also expressed concern over the state of healthcare infrastructure across the country. According to him, the condition of Nigerian hospitals highlights the difficulties citizens face in accessing quality medical treatment.

He further claimed that President Tinubu himself has been unable to remain in Nigeria for an extended period without travelling abroad, particularly for medical attention and what he described as a change of environment.

“If the administration is performing as well as you claim, why are you staying in the United Kingdom while trying to secure residency documents for yourself and your family?” Fayose asked.

He maintained that Nigerians should visit public hospitals, particularly in Lagos, to see the challenges confronting ordinary citizens.

Fayose also cited the growing level of hardship in the country, claiming that a large proportion of Nigerians are struggling with poverty. He questioned why Nigerians living in Britain and the United States would continue to praise the President while choosing to remain outside the country.

The politician said supporters of the administration should be willing to experience life in Nigeria if they are convinced that the country is moving in the right direction.

His latest remarks come shortly after he described himself as a “lonely voice in the wilderness,” lamenting what he considers the abandonment of politicians who previously benefited from his support.

Fayose expressed frustration over what he described as years of personal and financial sacrifices made for political causes without receiving corresponding support in return.

He also reflected on events dating back to 2018, when he stood firmly behind his brother during Ayodele Fayose’s legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

According to him, he personally confronted Ibrahim Magu, who was serving as the acting chairman of the anti-graft agency at the time, over the case involving his brother.

Fayose said his experiences had left him deeply disappointed with the political system, describing Nigeria as a difficult country in which individuals who make sacrifices for others can eventually find themselves abandoned.
