Tinubu Deserves Long Stay in Office, Says Olubadan

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has said President Bola Tinubu deserves to remain Nigeria’s leader for a “long, long time,” citing what he described as the President’s commitment to national development.

Oba Ladoja made the remarks on Monday during the flag-off ceremony for the dualisation of the Ibadan-Ijebu Road in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The monarch praised the Tinubu administration for initiating the road project, stressing that the event was not a political gathering but an opportunity for residents to express their appreciation to the President.

“I’ve been hearing everybody talking APC, APC. Bola Tinubu is not an APC man, no. Bola Tinubu is working and deserves to be president for a long, long time,” Ladoja said.

“This is not an APC rally. We are here to thank Mr President for making this road project possible.”

He also noted that the road had become a security concern, particularly due to reports of kidnapping and other criminal activities along the route.

According to the Olubadan, Tinubu should be seen beyond partisan politics, describing him as the President of the entire country rather than that of a particular political party.

“Mr Tinubu deserves more than being an APC president. He’s not an APC president; he’s the president of Nigeria,” the monarch added.

While Ladoja did not specify how long he believes Tinubu should remain in office, the Nigerian Constitution limits a president to a maximum of two four-year terms.
