The All Progressives Grand Alliance has unveiled its schedule for the assessment of aspirants seeking nomination for Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly positions ahead of its 2026 primary elections.

In a notice released on Sunday in Awka by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, the screening of National Assembly hopefuls is set for Monday, May 11, 2026, at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, commencing at 10:00 a.m.

The evaluation of candidates for the Anambra State House of Assembly will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the party’s regional secretariat in Awka, also scheduled for 10:00 a.m.

The party directed all contestants to strictly adhere to the stated dates, time, and requirements, adding that details for aspirants from other states will be communicated later through official channels.

Opara stated that only verified aspirants and members of the screening panel will be granted access to the venues, while supporters, aides, and companions are expected to remain outside.

He also emphasized that aspirants must present original copies of their highest academic qualifications for inspection, noting that photocopies will not be accepted.

The party further clarified that the screening process is entirely free, warning against any form of payment and urging aspirants to report any extortion attempts to the national leadership.

It reiterated its commitment to fairness, transparency, and credible internal procedures, saying the exercise is meant to ensure a smooth and trustworthy selection process.

All aspirants were advised to comply fully with the guidelines as the party continues preparations for its 2026 electoral activities.
