The Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) has expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration during a crucial meeting held in Lagos on December 5-6, 2025.

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who chairs the forum, announced that the governors reaffirmed their full support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and committed to ensuring his re-election in 2027

The meeting, held at Eko Hotels in Victoria Island, brought together APC governors and party stakeholders from across the country, including representatives from Lagos, Kebbi, Edo, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Imo, Sokoto, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Kaduna, and Katsina states.

Key Resolutions:

The governors appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with the Tinubu administration and maintain peace in the country. They acknowledged the economic pressures citizens are facing but emphasized that ongoing reforms are necessary for long-term stability and growth.

In their communiqué, the forum commended President Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to stabilizing the economy, strengthening national security and laying foundations for sustainable growth

Security and Social Interventions:

The governors pledged to strengthen local security architecture across their states and intensify state-level interventions in food production, support for small businesses, youth employment, and social protection for vulnerable populations.

They urged all Nigerians to go about their businesses without fear while wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas and happy new year in advance

The forum emphasized that effective governance must prioritize improving citizens’ daily lives and expanding opportunities for all Nigerians, regardless of location or social status.
