Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing new service chiefs, describing the move as a significant step toward strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture.
In a statement issued on Sunday, October 26, by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo congratulated the newly appointed military leaders and expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandates.
“The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed security service chiefs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” the statement read.
“Governor Soludo commended the appointments of General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General W. Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke as Chief of Air Staff, and Rear Admiral I. Abbas as Chief of Naval Staff. He noted that these appointments represent a pivotal step toward strengthening the security architecture of our great nation.”
The Governor expressed confidence in the leadership, expertise, and experience the appointees bring to their roles, especially at a time when the country faces complex and evolving security challenges.
He further emphasized the importance of collaboration between the service chiefs and relevant stakeholders in the security sector to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to tackling insecurity across the nation.
Soludo reaffirmed the commitment of the Anambra State Government to partner with the Federal Government and the new service chiefs in addressing security challenges in the Southeast and promoting peace and safety for all citizens.
