Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has dismissed rumours of a disagreement between him and his political mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, stressing that no individual or group can create division between them.
Speaking at a gathering attended by top members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Governor Yusuf said his relationship with Kwankwaso remains strong, grounded in shared values of service, loyalty, and integrity.
He described Kwankwaso as a visionary and selfless leader who has dedicated his life to the progress of the people of Kano State and Nigeria at large.
“God has blessed us with a God-fearing and selfless leader in him — a man who loves the people of Kano and works tirelessly for their progress and development,” Yusuf said.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to developing Kano State in line with the Kwankwasiyya principles of service, accountability, and empowerment.
In his remarks, Senator Kwankwaso expressed appreciation to the NNPP National Chairman, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, party leaders from over 30 states, and loyal supporters for their unwavering dedication to the movement.
He urged members of both the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya Movement nationwide to remain united, focused, and committed to the continued growth and success of the party.
