Former Labour Party presidential aspirant, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph (Fadojoe), has called on Nigerians to actively use their votes in the 2027 elections to end years of poor leadership and misgovernance.
In a personal statement, Fadojoe, who leads the Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, said Nigeria’s development has been hindered by a cycle of bad governance, despite its wealth and human capital. He blamed both failed leadership and citizens’ complacency.
“We cannot keep praying for change without participating in elections,” he said. “Faith without civic action will never deliver a better Nigeria.”
He criticized the culture of voter apathy and personal gain during political campaigns, urging Nigerians to vote with their conscience and demand accountability from politicians.
Fadojoe emphasized that real change must come peacefully through the ballot box, not through protests or violence, and called for unity across ethnic and religious lines to build a fairer, stronger nation.
