The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has unveiled a new bi-weekly podcast, the Tax Advocacy Podcast, aimed at enhancing public awareness of Nigeria’s dynamic tax environment.
In a statement released on Monday, the FIRS announced that the podcast, hosted by Aderonke Bello, will serve as an educational platform to deepen public understanding of the agency’s services, products, and policies. The initiative is designed to simplify tax-related topics for everyday Nigerians, encourage voluntary compliance, and promote responsible citizenship.
Each episode will explore the inner workings of the FIRS, spotlighting its strategic priorities, innovations in revenue administration, and the vital role of taxation in national development. The show will also feature expert guests from within and beyond the Service.
Commenting on the launch, Bello said, “The Tax Advocacy Podcast is more than just an information channel—it’s a platform for transparency, clarity, and engagement. We aim to close the communication gap between the FIRS and Nigerians, making tax matters accessible and relevant to all.”
The FIRS emphasized that the podcast reflects its ongoing commitment to innovation in public engagement and the continuous promotion of tax literacy across all sectors.
