The Bauchi State Ministry of Education has announced that schools will resume on Sunday, April 6, following a five-week break for Ramadan.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry’s Information and Public Relations Officer, Jalaludeen Usman, reminded parents and guardians that both day and boarding schools would reopen for the continuation of the second term.

“The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Lawal Mohammed Rimin Zayam, wishes to remind parents and guardians that the resumption date for the second term is Sunday, April 6, for all students in Bauchi State,” the statement read.

Emphasizing the state government’s commitment to education, the ministry highlighted its plans to commence JAMB CBT training for students sponsored by the Bauchi State Government to help them excel in upcoming examinations.

The ministry also issued a stern warning against late resumption, urging parents to ensure their wards return on time to prevent academic setbacks.

“Parents and guardians are advised to ensure their wards resume on the stipulated date to avoid any disruptions to their academic progress,” the statement added.

Schools were initially closed on March 1, 2025, as per the 2024–2025 academic calendar. However, the extended break faced criticism from religious groups and civil society organizations, who expressed concerns over its impact on students’ learning.

Its such as you learn my thoughts! You appear to understand so much about this, like you wrote the ebook in it or something. I feel that you simply can do with some percent to drive the message house a little bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.
