Interswitch, an African integrated digital payment platform, has donated information technology equipment worth over N45 million to Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos.

The donation was made during a courtesy visit by the Interswitch team to the college’s Rector, Ibraheem Abdul. Among the donated items were Cisco firewalls, Cisco switches, and servers.

While presenting the equipment to the YABATECH management, Interswitch Sales Manager Mr. Femi Atere stated that the gesture was aimed at supporting the institution in building an academy that would positively impact students.

He also assured that Interswitch would offer technology integration, advisory support, and other digital solutions to enhance the institution’s capabilities.

The donation was made possible through the collaboration of Cisco, an industry partner of the college.

Speaking on the donation, Program Manager at Cisco Network Academy, Mr. Imoh Akpan, stated that the equipment would enhance students’ learning by supporting both practical and theoretical aspects of their education.

The YABATECH Rector, who received the equipment on behalf of the college, reaffirmed the management’s dedication to manpower development.

He emphasized that the ongoing partnership with the organization would strengthen the college’s efforts to lead in manpower training and capacity building.
