Fubara Appoints Prof. Zeb-Obipi as Rivers University VC

overnor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has approved the appointment of Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi as the new Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, located in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.

The announcement was made in a special government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, on Thursday. The appointment takes effect immediately.

Prof. Zeb-Obipi succeeds Prof. Nlerum Okogbule, who had held the position since March 5, 2020, under the administration of former Governor Nyesom Wike.

Prof. Zeb-Obipi is a distinguished academic specializing in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. Prior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor, he served as the Director of the Information and Communication Technology Centre at the university.
