Ramadan: Atiku Urges FG to Alleviate Nigerians Hardship

The Peoples Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has drawn attention to the economic difficulties Nigerians are currently experiencing, calling on all levels of government to implement effective measures to lessen the hardship faced by citizens.

Through a statement shared on his official X account on Friday, Atiku stressed the need for generosity and encouraged Nigerians to extend kindness beyond their close circles.

He stated: “Nigerians are passing through harsh economic situations, and it is necessary that governments provide palliatives to support the people and alleviate their living conditions.

The lifestyle of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW) should be our guide, as he taught us the immense benefits of being generous, especially during the month of Ramadan.”

The former vice president urged both Muslims and Nigerians at large to embrace the spirit of Ramadan by engaging in acts of charity, showing compassion, and praying for the nation’s growth, stability, and prosperity.

Describing Ramadan as a period for spiritual renewal and national solidarity, he added: “I urge that we remember Nigeria in our prayers and call on governments to provide the necessary succour that will ease the pains in the lives of Nigerians during the Ramadan fasting and beyond.”
