Renowned drama evangelist and founder of Mount Zion Faith Drama Ministry, Mike Bamiloye, has expressed his sorrow over the passing of gospel actress Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe, known as Flora from the Abattoir series. Flora, celebrated for her engaging performances, reportedly died on February 4, 2025, due to injuries from a car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in December 2024.

In a tribute posted on his Facebook page on Thursday, Bamiloye referred to Flora’s death as a transition to eternal rest, emphasizing his steadfast faith in God’s plan and the purpose of Christian filmmaking. “We are soldiers… on the battlefield! Jesus is our commander! When He calls our names, we shall answer a million times!” Bamiloye shared.

Reflecting on the loss, he remarked, “When you cross over to Heaven, you forget all pains and griefs. No shaking! Tolu left a great impact and was called home to heaven! We shall continue till the end!” Bamiloye, whose ministry has significantly influenced gospel drama in Nigeria, affirmed that the mission of creating faith-based films remains strong despite this loss. He added, “The devil cannot touch us without God knowing about it! We will not keep quiet! We move! More Abattoirs! More Abejoyes!!!”

Encouraging his colleagues in the Christian film industry to keep moving forward, he urged, “Everyone, rise to your feet! Head to film locations in towns and villages! Ise sese bere ni! (The work has just begun!) We move!!!”

Her passing came after that of another Abattoir actor, Moses Korede Are (Baba Gbenro), who passed away in November 2024 and was laid to rest on January 31, 2025.

Meanwhile, PUNCH Online reported that Bamiloye’s son, Joshua, shared his tribute for the deceased in a post on X on Wednesday. Joshua wrote, “It’s been a few quiet days for me here, still struggling to process the passing of Toluwalope — a fellow drama minister and a light in this world.

“It’s heartbreaking and difficult to understand, but even in our pain, we continue to trust Him. It was a short run but with a lasting impact. My heart goes out to her family. I pray the Lord Himself will comfort them beyond what words can express. May His presence strengthen them in this season of grief.”

Another gospel actress, Tomiwa Samson, also posted a tribute on Instagram on Tuesday. She wrote, “It is a privilege to have shared beautiful moments with you in this life. You have fought your good fight of faith, and you have finished your race!

“I love and celebrate you now and always, ‘sis mi’, as you fondly called me. Hmm! See you in heaven, our flower. You will always be our flower.”
