In a notable recognition of service and dedication, Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has formally promoted his Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Ashigar Kulbu, to the rank of Superintendent of Police. The special ceremony took place on Monday at the Government House in Maiduguri, the state capital. Governor Zulum was joined by the Commissioner of Police for Borno State, Yusufu Lawal, to carry out the promotion.
Before his advancement, Kulbu held the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, a position he had served with diligence and professionalism. In his remarks during the decoration, Governor Zulum congratulated Kulbu on his well-deserved promotion, acknowledging his unwavering commitment and exceptional performance in his duties.
“This promotion is a clear reflection of your hard work, discipline, and dedication to the service of the state and the country,” Governor Zulum stated. “I encourage you to continue serving with the same level of commitment and responsibility that has earned you this recognition.”
The event was attended by a range of prominent figures, including Deputy Governor Umar Usman Kadafur, Secretary to the Borno State Government Alhaji Bukar Tijani, Head of Service Barrister Mallam Fannami, and the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar. Other senior government officials, as well as officers from the Borno State Police Command, were also present to witness the occasion.
Governor Zulum’s acknowledgment of Kulbu’s promotion highlights the significance of loyalty and professionalism within the public service, especially in challenging roles such as that of an ADC. This gesture is also a reminder of the governor’s ongoing support for the development and welfare of state security personnel.
The promotion not only signifies a career milestone for Ashigar Kulbu but also reinforces the importance of dedicated service in law enforcement and public safety in Borno State.
