President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in celebration of his 78th birthday.

In a statement by the President’s spokesperson, Sunday Dare, it was noted that Atiku has played a significant role in Nigeria’s democratic development.

“President Bola Tinubu sends heartfelt wishes to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his 78th birthday,” Dare stated. “As a former Vice President and the PDP presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election, he has been a prominent figure in Nigeria’s democratic evolution since the transition to civilian governance in 1999.”

Dare also highlighted Tinubu’s reflection on the shared history between himself and Wazirin Adamawa, recalling their collaboration as founding members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), united by a shared vision to improve Nigeria. Tinubu also acknowledged their engagement as competitors in the recent presidential election.

“President Tinubu appreciates Atiku’s dedication to public service and charitable efforts, offering prayers for Almighty Allah to grant him continued health and joy in the coming years,” Dare concluded.
