The Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti Local Government Area in Enugu State, Hon. Dr. Eric Ogbonna Odo, has announced the appointment of a Senior Special Assistant responsible for Garden Egg and Pepper.
Additionally, the Chairman designated another Senior Special Assistant to oversee Yam and Pepper. In these roles, Nwodo Everestus Ugonna will serve as an adviser on Garden Egg and Pepper, while Ezeugwu Frederick Ogbonna has been assigned as an assistant for Yam and Pepper.
Official documents, signed by the chairman and reviewed by DAILY POST, instructed both appointees to visit the office of the Executive Chairman at the Igbo Etiti LGA Secretariat in Ogbede for orientation and task allocation.
Part of Nwodo’s appointment letter stated: “I am delighted to inform you that the Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti LGA has endorsed your appointment as SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT to the Local Government Chairman on AGRICULTURE (GARDEN EGG & PEPPER).” Similarly, Ezeugwu’s letter conveyed: “I am pleased to notify you that the Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti LGA has approved your appointment as SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT to the Local Government Chairman on AGRICULTURE (YAM & PEPPER).”
These appointments, which have sparked widespread reactions on social media, were clarified in the letters as temporary and non-civil service positions, held at the discretion of the Executive Chairman.
