Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State extended his warm congratulations to Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) during the 2023 general election, in celebration of his 68th birthday.

In a message of felicitation to the NNPP’s national leader on Monday, Yusuf praised Kwankwaso’s exceptional leadership and extensive political influence, which spans across the country.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, the governor described Kwankwaso as a mentor and principal who has shaped the lives of millions, cultivating leaders across various sectors.

Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, the governor said, “Having known and worked with you for 38 years, I’ve gained invaluable life lessons and experiences. You truly embody honesty, dedication, and a deep commitment to serving others.”

Yusuf also highlighted the significant impact of Kwankwaso’s political philosophy, which has inspired communities, produced quality leaders, and contributed greatly to society. He further acknowledged Kwankwaso’s dominant role in Nigerian and Northern politics.

Throughout his career, Kwankwaso has held numerous key positions, including Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence, Special Envoy to Darfur and Somalia, Senator, and Presidential Candidate of the NNPP in the 2023 elections.

“On behalf of myself, my family, the government, and the people of Kano State, I wish you many more years of impactful service to humanity, both in Nigeria and beyond,” the statement concluded.
