FoodCo Nigeria recently celebrated its employees during the quarterly staff recognition awards, a testament to their commitment to fostering organizational growth. Funmi Aiyepeku, Head of Innovation, Growth, and Business Transformation at FoodCo Nigeria, emphasized the company’s dedication to nurturing employee leadership through these awards.

She highlighted the pivotal role of employees in driving FoodCo’s success and reiterated their focus on meaningful engagement at all organizational levels.

Aiyepeku underscored their aspiration to create an ecosystem where their extensive workforce of over 1,000 individuals can evolve from mere employees into effective leaders within their respective roles.

She emphasized the strategic investment in developing self-directed individuals, foreseeing this as pivotal to enhancing overall staff quality and achieving greater organizational success.

The staff recognition awards, an integral part of their commitment, evaluate employees across all company outlets based on criteria such as growth mindset, innovation, continuous development, and results orientation.

Stephen Olaogun, from FoodCo’s supply chain division, emerged as the top performer for the first quarter of 2024, exemplifying excellence in these areas. Winners, including Olaogun, were honored with cash prizes, recognition certificates, and commendation letters, reinforcing FoodCo’s ethos of cultivating a workplace culture that encourages growth, empathy, and impactful contributions from its staff.
