Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has donated N50 million and six speedboats to Borno State to support communities affected by recent floods. This was announced in a statement released on Thursday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.

During Governor Fintiri’s visit to Maiduguri, he presented the donation to Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to address the disaster. He expressed regret over the severe damage caused by the recent flooding and urged the federal government to take urgent action.

In a show of solidarity, Governors Fintiri, Zulum, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State participated in a boat ride to assess the damage and sympathize with displaced persons.

The donation is part of efforts to support Borno State in responding to the flood disaster and it also aims at alleviating the sufferings of flood affected populations.
