President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to participate in All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rallies across 12 states as the ruling party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
The proposed itinerary outlines the locations and dates for the president’s anticipated appearances between October 2026 and January 2027, as the APC intensifies preparations for its re-election campaign.
According to reports by TheCable, Premium Times and Punch, the planned nationwide tour will commence in Kaduna State on October 24, 2026, and conclude with a grand campaign rally in Lagos State on January 9, 2027.
The proposed schedule includes Kaduna, Rivers, Plateau, Oyo, Borno, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Delta, Kano, Adamawa and Lagos states.
Below is the complete breakdown of the proposed campaign destinations and dates:
- Kaduna State: October 24, 2026 (Saturday)
- Rivers State: November 7, 2026 (Saturday)
- Plateau State: November 14, 2026 (Saturday)
- Oyo State: November 21, 2026 (Saturday)
- Borno State: November 25, 2026 (Wednesday)
- Enugu State: November 28, 2026 (Saturday)
- Bauchi State: November 29, 2026 (Sunday)
- Sokoto State: December 4, 2026 (Friday)
- Delta State: December 12, 2026 (Saturday)
- Kano State: December 17, 2026 (Thursday)
- Adamawa State: January 4, 2027 (Monday)
- Lagos State: January 9, 2027 (Saturday)
The proposed campaign programme places Kaduna as the starting point of the tour, while Lagos is designated as the venue for the final rally ahead of the elections.
The itinerary also covers Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, with planned appearances in the North-West, North-East, North-Central, South-East, South-South and South-West regions.
The arrangement is expected to provide the ruling party with opportunities to mobilise supporters across different parts of the country as it seeks to secure another presidential victory in 2027.
However, the APC’s campaign activities are not limited to the 12 states listed for Tinubu’s personal attendance. Additional rallies are expected to take place in other locations, with members of the party’s leadership and campaign council representing the president at events he may not attend.
Tinubu had previously indicated that he would not participate in every campaign rally, citing the need to balance electioneering activities with his responsibilities as Nigeria’s sitting president.
The proposed timetable therefore distinguishes between locations where the president is expected to appear personally and other campaign events that may be handled by party officials.
Nevertheless, the dates and venues remain subject to possible adjustments and formal confirmation by the APC as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
