The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, on Saturday met with the party’s candidates, leaders and stakeholders in Imo State as part of efforts to strengthen unity and reconciliation within the party.
Dickson, in a statement posted on his verified X handle on Saturday, described the meeting as “very fruitful,” saying participants agreed to work together for the success of all NDC candidates in the state.
He urged party leaders and candidates to build on the outcome of the meeting by holding further consultations aimed at achieving total unity and comprehensive reconciliation among all stakeholders.
“This evening, I held a consultative/reconciliation meeting with leaders, candidates and stakeholders of the NDC in Imo State, led by His Excellency, Chief Achike Udenwa,” Dickson stated.
According to him, the participants agreed to work together for the victory of all the party’s candidates, “from top to bottom.”
He also urged all candidates and party leaders to serve as instruments of reconciliation, stressing the need for continued cooperation within the party.
Dickson commended Udenwa for the leadership he has provided as the NDC State Leader in Imo and urged him to intensify his efforts with the support of the party’s national leadership.
He further disclosed that the national leadership would soon send a team of senior officers to Imo State to join the ongoing reconciliation efforts.A
