Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, Hon. Yusuf Gaya Gidado of Yobe State and APC chieftain Engr. Ahmed Asuku of Kogi State, have declared that Abdulaziz Yari is the right man to serve as Director-General of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a joint statement issued in Abuja, the two APC leaders said Senator Yari possesses the political experience, grassroots influence, administrative competence, and unifying leadership needed to consolidate support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across Northern Nigeria and the country at large.
Hon. Yusuf Gaya Gidado described Senator Yari as one of the APC’s most accomplished political leaders, noting that his ability to build consensus and maintain strong relationships across political, ethnic, and religious divides makes him exceptionally qualified for the assignment.
“At a time when the party requires a leader capable of uniting stakeholders and expanding support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Abdulaziz Yari stands out as the man for the job. His political reach, experience, and unwavering commitment to the APC have earned him the confidence of party members across the North and beyond,” Gidado said.
He added that Yari’s years of service and consistent investment in strengthening the APC have positioned him as a dependable leader capable of coordinating a successful nationwide campaign.
Engr. Ahmed Asuku also expressed confidence in Senator Yari’s capacity to deliver victory for the APC, describing him as a prudent administrator, strategic thinker, and grassroots mobilizer with a proven record of leadership.
“Campaign leadership requires more than popularity. It demands discipline, accountability, strategic planning, and the ability to inspire confidence at every level of the party. Senator Abdulaziz Yari has consistently demonstrated these qualities throughout his public service and remains one of the most credible leaders to coordinate the party’s campaign efforts,” Asuku stated.
According to him, Yari’s extensive political network, accessibility to party members, and commitment to inclusive leadership would further strengthen the APC’s campaign machinery and improve coordination across the six geopolitical zones.
The APC stakeholders maintained that appointing Senator Abdulaziz Yari to lead the Campaign Council would not only energize the party’s grassroots base but also reinforce unity within the APC as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.
They expressed confidence that his leadership would inspire greater participation among young people, women, traditional institutions, and party stakeholders while enhancing the APC’s ability to effectively communicate the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The stakeholders therefore urged the party leadership to give serious consideration to Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s wealth of experience, national outlook, and proven record of service, expressing optimism that his leadership would provide the strategic direction needed to deliver another decisive electoral victory for President Tinubu and the APC in 2027.
