Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence ahead of the forthcoming governorship election, assuring residents that his administration remains focused on securing a second term through the ballot box.

The governor urged citizens to ignore rumours and political intimidation ahead of the polls, stressing that there is no cause for alarm over fears of electoral violence or manipulation. According to him, necessary measures have been put in place to guarantee a peaceful, free, and credible election.

“We shall win convincingly and be declared winners by a wide margin,” Adeleke stated.

He maintained that his supporters are fully prepared for the election and committed to safeguarding their votes. The governor emphasized that every eligible voter must be allowed to exercise their democratic rights without hindrance.

“Our people will freely exercise their voting rights, our votes will count, and we shall emerge victorious,” he said.

Adeleke also addressed concerns about alleged attempts to undermine the electoral process, warning against actions capable of disrupting peace in the state. He noted that the people of Osun are united and vigilant, adding that they will resist any effort to manipulate the outcome of the election.

The governor further stated that security agencies and electoral officials would be closely monitored to ensure strict adherence to electoral guidelines.

“No one can deny the people of Osun their legitimate right to choose their leaders,” he declared.

He reiterated that the state would not be turned into a theatre of violence, stressing that all stakeholders are committed to maintaining peace, order, and stability before, during, and after the election.
