Peter Obi Can Never Beat Tinubu” — Social Commentator Geh Geh Lists Four Reasons February 23, 2026

A social media commentator known as Geh Geh has ignited fresh political debate ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that Labour Party’s Peter Obi stands no realistic chance of defeating incumbent President Bola Tinubu in the next presidential contest.

Speaking in a viral video, Geh Geh outlined four key reasons to back his position, with his central argument focusing on what he described as Obi’s lack of a solid political structure. According to the commentator, Obi possesses vision but has no clear path or operational strategy to convert that vision into electoral victory.

He also pointed to widespread public confusion over Obi’s current political party affiliation, noting that many Nigerians are still unsure whether he belongs to the ADC, the PDP, or another platform entirely — a factor he says seriously weakens Obi’s political identity going into 2027.

Geh Geh contrasted this with what he described as Tinubu’s well-organised political network, pointing to early mobilisation, visible campaign-style movements, and strong grassroots engagement as signs that the ruling camp is already preparing for 2027.

The commentator also drew a sharp distinction between online popularity and real-world political power, warning that Obi’s strength appears to be largely social media-driven — a base he argues is insufficient to overcome an incumbent with deep grassroots connections and party machinery firmly in place.

Geh Geh maintained that political success in Nigeria depends largely on physical structures and loyal grassroots supporters rather than online popularity, and warned that relying mainly on social media influence could weaken Obi’s chances against an incumbent with deep political connections.

The remarks have stirred reactions across social media platforms, with supporters and critics of both Obi and Tinubu weighing in on the commentary ahead of what is expected to be a highly competitive 2027 presidential race.
