A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kenneth Okonkwo, has expressed strong confidence that the party will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, the actor-turned-politician declared that the ADC is poised to form Nigeria’s next government and “send President Bola Tinubu back to Bourdillon.”

Okonkwo stated that the ADC is well-prepared to contest all upcoming elections, especially under the leadership of former Senate President, David Mark.

“In 2027, we stand a real chance in every election across Nigeria,” he said. “The true test of the ADC will come in 2027 we are going to form the next government in Nigeria and send Tinubu to Bourdillon.”

Highlighting the party’s nationwide presence, Okonkwo explained that the ADC has active structures in all 36 states of the federation. He also identified former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as one of the party’s key figures in Rivers State and the South-South region.

“The ADC is fully established in all 36 states. Rotimi Amaechi is naturally one of the prominent leaders of the ADC in Rivers State and the South-South, so it would not be out of place to describe him as the leader of the ADC in Rivers State,” he added.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on September 10, formally recognised the David Mark led leadership of the ADC following a series of internal reforms that produced new national officers to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Under the new structure, former Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, was listed by INEC as the party’s National Secretary.
