NATIONAL RESCUE MOVEMENT (NRM) PRESS RELEASE – July 16, 2025

The attention of the leadership of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), has been drawn to a message by an unknown group inviting Media Partners, to cover a “crucial Press Briefing” at Skyline View Hotel and Suites, Apo Resettlement, Abuja, claimed to have been scheduled for today July 16th, 2025.

We are concerned that the imposters and detractors seek to misinform unsuspecting Nigerians using unknown NIGERIA NATIONAL RESCUE MOVEMENT (NNRM) to address what it called “the criticality of ensuring that ADC (Coalition) fields H/E Atiku Abubakar GCON as its 2027 Presidential Candidate and Peter Obi as Running mate respectively”.

The mass public is informed that the invitation did not emanate from the National Rescue Movement (NRM). Therefore, members and the general public are advised by this publication to discard any message inviting them to such a press briefing. This is the hand work of distractors, and political jobbers, whose shenanigan knows no boundaries.

As a party, the National Rescue Movement has a systematic manner of disseminating information, when inviting members for a meeting or addressing the Press and not in such unorganized, unprofessional and incoherent messages circulated on social media by faces and elements unknown to the party.

The National Rescue Movement as a party founded to RESCUE Nigeria from its present quagmire is built on social justice, rule of law for peace, productivity and shared prosperity and believes in processes and procedures, which the intended mischief did not represent.

We call on law enforcement agencies to note these elements and nip their rascality in the bud before it is too late.

Party faithful are advised not be disturbed, deterred, or distracted by the actions of the mischief makers, and agents of persons with inordinate ambition and penchant for hijacking structures of political parties via illegal means”. Their voices and activities would soon be laid to rest.
