Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peaceful coexistence, and compassion during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday and signed by his media aide, Ohiare Michael, Bello congratulated Muslims nationwide, President Bola Tinubu, and the people of Kogi State on the occasion of the Islamic festival.
He highlighted the significance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and obedience to God, encouraging Muslims to follow the example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who epitomized unwavering faith and devotion.
“This season reminds us of the values of sacrifice, humility, and devotion — values that should guide us every day,” Bello said.
He also extended prayers for President Tinubu, asking for strength, wisdom, and divine direction in leading the nation.
“May Almighty Allah continue to guide Mr. President in his efforts to build a stronger, more united, and prosperous Nigeria,” he added.
Bello urged Nigerians to pray for national peace and stability and to show love and support for the less privileged during the festivities.
“Let us use this moment to foster love and unity in our communities. Our country needs our prayers and collective efforts now more than ever,” he said.
He concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration.
Eid Mubarak.
