Kogi Tops List as 1.9 Million Nigerians Apply for 30,000 Paramilitary Jobs

The Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that over 1.9 million Nigerians applied for just 30,000 available positions in the country’s paramilitary services.

According to the latest data released on Monday, Kogi State recorded the highest number of applicants, with 116,188 individuals submitting applications. It was followed closely by Kaduna with 114,551 applicants, and Benue with 110,583. Together, these three states accounted for a significant share of the total applications received.

In stark contrast, states like Lagos, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Ebonyi recorded the fewest number of applicants. Bayelsa had the lowest with just 11,669 applicants, while Lagos recorded 14,216.

In total, the CDCFIB received 1,911,377 applicationsnationwide.

Authorities stated that the next stage of the recruitment process will commence soon. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email and SMS. Applicants are advised to monitor their communication channels and check the official recruitment portal regularly for updates.
