Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has inaugurated a 2.5 MVA injection substation in Udomi community, Esan Central Local Government Area. The project aims to provide a constant electricity supply to the area, boosting economic development and improving the lives of residents.

During the inauguration, Okpebholo expressed his delight in bringing development to the people, stating that the sub-station would open up the community and surrounding areas to new opportunities.

Furthermore, he also commended the Edo State House of Assembly for passing the bill for the Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Technology, which is currently under construction.

The governor assured that more developmental projects would be witnessed in the state, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Business Head, Technical Operations at Benin Electricity Distribution Company, Mokwenye Jidenmah, thanked the governor for the project, noting that it would benefit Udomi and surrounding communities. The electricity extension project will connect six communities, including Udomi 1, Ujabhole 1, Unogbo, Idimoghodor, Ibhioloulu, and Afuda, all in Uwessan.
