Kayode Jaiyeola, a photojournalist for The PUNCH newspaper, is currently detained at the FCT police headquarters. In a distress call to a fellow journalist, Jaiyeola reported his arrest at Eagles Square by an officer from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
He explained that the officer subsequently handed him over to the FCT police officers, where he is now being held. Jaiyeola further mentioned that the police have confiscated his phone and camera.
“An officer from the NSA apprehended me at Eagles Square and transferred me to the police command. I am now at the police headquarters, and they have taken my phone and camera,” he relayed in a distress call to our correspondent.
